An original program from the Grand Opening of Space Mountain at Disneyland Resort on May 27, 1977. Featuring a simply designed shooting star illustration, the front page of the fold-out program reads "Grand Opening, Space Mountain, Disneyland. May 27, 1977, 11:00 am." It opens to reveal the planned details of the event, including a performance of the Star-Spangled Banner by the Disneyland Band, an Official Welcome and Introduction of Special Ceremonial Participants, a Disney Musicale Interlude featuring The Kids Of The Kingdom, The "debriefing" (six of the original seven Mercury Astronauts answered questions from the press), and The Grand Finale where The Long Beach Jr. Concert Band played "March of the Olympians." Measures 6.75"x6.5" when folded, 20"x6.5" when opened, and is in very good condition with some edge wear and minimal handling wear.
